NHS Environmental Assessment Toolkit, Achieving Excellence Design Evaluation Toolkit

Overview

  • Major capital investments within the NHS require the design team and client to work through the AEDET and NEAT tools as part of their development.
  • AEDET (Achieving Excellence Design Evaluation Toolkit) has been developed by the NHS to help Trusts raise design standards of new healthcare builders.
  • The toolkit provides evaluation of non financial criteria that can impact on the design.
  • NEAT (NHS Environmental Assessment Toolkit) is the NHS version of BREAM.
  • The toolkit enables design teams to collectively evaluate the environmental aspects of the design.

Outcomes

  • Completed AEDET assessments and consensus score for the building design.
  • Completed NEAT assessment and consensus score.
