Forthcoming Events

Corporate Manslaughter

In response to the recent changes to legislation and the pressure, particularly from the media, for directors and senior staff of both private and public organisations to be held properly accountable in the courts for the death or serious injury of people affected by their activities, CPA will soon be announcing a series of day seminars on the topic of corporate manslaughter, with presentations from experts and practitioners with experience of being at the ‘sharp end’ of investigations.

Backlog Maintenance

Risk-adjusted backlog maintenance is a ‘hot topic’ in the NHS, and the techniques set out in guidance document provide the potential for Trusts to use an inordinate amount of resource to very little practical effect or to use less resource to establish a straightforward and flexible process which could be set at the centre of all maintenance and capital investment planning. CPA have developed a degree of expertise by working with a variety of organisations, both NHS and commercial, and have developed techniques appropriate for a range of scenarios. We are working with partners with expertise in property appraisal and data analysis to develop short training courses applicable to staff needing an overview of the topic, or for Trusts wanting to introduce a robust process and train all their staff in its se.
